Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone’s Pathaan To Undergo Revisions; CBFC Asks Makers For Changes That Adhere To Religious Sentiments
Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Pathaan has come under the scanner after the release of their first song Besharam Rang
After weeks of facing objections from right-wing political parties and their followers of Deepika Padukone wearing a saffron swimwear, a colour that is associated with Hindutva and Hindu religion, it is being reported that Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback film Pathaan will have to undergo revisions. If reports are to be believed, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked the makers to adhere to religious sentiments.
According to India Today, the Pathaan was recently submitted to the examination committee for certification. Post-screening, they were asked to tweak certain scenes and implement changes in songs. CBFC has also asked the makers of Pathaan to send them a revised version of the film before it releases in the theatres in January 2023.
